The RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) Golden Expedition season will head south to Caesars New Orleans for the RGPS Golden Expedition New Orleans event, which will offer a guaranteed prize pool of $330,000.
The RGPS Golden Expedition New Orleans will be held from September 3rd to 13th, featuring 14 ring events over 11 days, culminating in the Main Event with a $800 buy-in and a guaranteed prize pool of $200,000. PokerNews will provide live coverage of the Main Event.
Winning a ring in New Orleans
RunGood's New Orleans event will kick off with the $400 Series Opening Event, a two-day tournament with a guaranteed prize pool of $100,000 and five starting groups to choose from.
Other highlights of the series include the $200 Team Event, the $250 Seniors Event, the $300 Ladies Event, and the $300 Big Stack NLH Ring Event. There is also a $400 Pot Limit Omaha Event for mixed-game players.
The $800 Main Event will begin on September 11th, featuring four starting groups. The $200,000 guaranteed prize pool event will determine the champion on September 13th, the same day the $400 Blackstack Bounty and the $200 Farewell Fast NLH events will conclude the series.
Last time in New Orleans
The RunGood team returned to New Orleans last year for the first time since 2015, hosting the RGPS Grand Prix New Orleans event.
The RGPS Grand Prix New Orleans Main Event attracted 307 entries, creating a total prize pool of $200,000. Jeremy Gaubert defeated Zackary Poll heads-up to win $45,897 and his first RunGood ring.
Last year's final table also included Brian Senie (3rd place, $22,343), Charles Bartlett (4th place, $16,547) and Ronald Inman (5th place, $12,431).
