PokerStars' Big Game on Tour is returning this month, with a new season featuring a star-studded lineup including MMA fighter Sean O'Malley and PokerStars ambassador Jason Koon.
Big Game on Tour is one of the most iconic and popular poker shows of all time, and its third season will be broadcast on [date missing]. May 17 New episodes will be released every Sunday.
The lineup for this high-stakes cash game will also include current World Series of Poker (WSOP) Player of the Year (POY) Shaun Deeb, poker legend Randy “3Coin” Sadler, and cash game veteran Matt Berkey. Of course, the lineup will also include an amateur player, “Loose Cannon,” who has received a $50,000 sponsorship and will retain all his winnings.
Big Game on Tour makes a grand return
According to a PokerStars press release, the latest season of The Big Game's Loose Cannon is Andy Taylor from Canada, who runs a property maintenance company and also founded a nonprofit organization in Toronto for young athletes.
To bring any winnings home, Taylor must defeat a host of formidable opponents, including two-time WSOP POY winner Deeb (who recently finished as runner-up in two WSOP Europe bracelet events) and Berkey, who has more televised cash game experience than most poker players combined.
Koon is no stranger to the Big Game tables, having competed against Lex Veldhuis, Alan Keating, and Wolfgang Poker in previous seasons. Other players who have participated in the Big Game on Tour include Jennifer Tilly, Phil Hellmuth, Antonio Esfandiari, sports celebrity Nick Wright, and NFL legend Rob “Gronk” Gronkowski.
While O'Malley's professional experience is in the octagon, the bantamweight MMA fighter has also dabbled in poker. Last year, he had a match against poker content creator Frankie C, which was discussed in an episode of the "PokerNews Life Outside Poker" podcast.
