The inaugural WSOP Circuit Series in Texas concluded successfully at TCH Social, with 18 events attracting 11,545 entries and awarding over $7 million in prize money. The Main Event set a new record for the largest prize pool in Texas history.
How popular is poker in Texas? The recently concluded World Series of Poker Tour (WSOPC) series, the first WSOP event ever held in Texas, promised at least $2.1 million in prize money across 18 gold ring events.
When registration closed for the final tournament of the series, the total prize money awarded at TCH Social in Austin was almost four times that amount. Texas Card House, one of its six poker clubs across the state, attempted an unprecedented feat—hosting a WSOP-branded series in the "Lone Star State."
The final results showed that the 18 tournaments attracted a total of 11,545 participants, and awards were presented. $7,167,245 With a prize pool of 641 entries per event on average, this was the largest series in Texas Hold'em history and broke a major state record.
The main event set a new Texas Hold'em record.
The match started on April 30th at TCH Social. The 1,700 Main Event attracted 1,709 participants, creating a record.The total prize pool of 2,589,135 set a new record for the largest prize pool in Texas history. Austin native Thomas Brabham ultimately won the title, taking home $368,545.
According to The Hendon Mob, Brabham's previous live tournament winnings were only $57,000. He defeated David Mzareulov in heads-up play on May 4th to win the gold ring. The runner-up received... 245,090, while Alexis Cruz Martinez came in third place, with a prize of [amount missing].175, 170.

Several other big winners were also present at the TCH Social circuit series, including five-time WSOP bracelet winner Brad Ruben, who won #10 in event 1.In 600H.ORSE, they defeated a field of 108 participants to win.14,574. Three of the 18 gold ring events had more than 1,600 participants. The event with the most participants was #2.600 Mini Main Event. JoonPark emerged victorious from a field of 2,562 entries, taking the championship and...157,345 in prize money.
The WSOP Circuit will return to TCH Social in September for its second series at one of the state’s most popular poker rooms.
