On September 25, 2026, the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) continued to award multiple championships. Team PokerStars Pro member Sebastian "peace&love" Huber won the Event #100-M: $75 NLHE 6-Max Turbo PKO, earning $10,056 and bringing his career WCOOP title count to three.

Huber not only won the championship that day, but also finished third and sixth in the other two events, making it into the money three times in a single day.

On the other hand, Johannes "Jepser8" Straver continued his recent high-stakes winning streak, taking the top spot in the $10,300 NLHE PKO Thursday Thrill, earning $167,733 and accumulating his fourth WCOOP title.

Huber's winning event was Event #100-M: $75 NLHE 6-Max Turbo PKO.

The tournament attracted 1,113 participants, creating a total prize pool of $75,884. The event employed a progressive knockout (PKO) system, with slightly more than half of the total prize pool allocated to the top 143 finishers, and the remainder going towards elimination prizes.

This event uses a six-player table and a Turbo format, where players can compete for prize money and also increase their bounty by eliminating opponents.

Of the final 20 contestants, 13 were Brazilian, and Huber successfully advanced.

When 20 players remained in the tournament, 13 of them were from Brazil. However, none of the Brazilian players ultimately advanced to the final one-on-one championship match.

Brazilian contestant "Any2vsYou" finished fifth, earning a total of $2,879 including elimination prize money, making him the highest-ranked Brazilian participant in the competition.

Subsequently, "LAFAL1O" from Malta was eliminated in fourth place, while "tombk24" from the UK took third place.

The final Heads-Up featured Huber facing off against PokerStars regular "Old brock".

Huber defeated Old Brock in a head-to-head match, winning $10,056.

By the time they entered Heads-Up, both Huber and "Old brock" had secured a general place prize of $5,442.

However, since this match uses the PKO format, both sides will still have to compete for the final elimination prize and the championship title.

Ultimately, Huber won the one-on-one match and claimed his third WCOOP championship.

He achieved third place in $215 NLHE and sixth place in $55 PLO.

Another player featured in the same PokerNews report is Johannes "Jepser8" Straver.

Previously, he had won two consecutive WCOOP events with a buy-in of $5,200. This time, he took the top spot in the even higher buy-in $10,300 NLHE PKO Thursday Thrill.

The event attracted 48 participants, with a total prize pool of US$480,000.

Straver ultimately earned $167,733, accumulating his fourth WCOOP championship.

Both players secured a $65,858 general placement prize upon entering the Heads-Up. However, a substantial payout remains to be distributed in the final elimination rounds, resulting in a significant income gap in the championship match.

Straver ultimately won the heads-up match, earning a $101,875 elimination prize. Combined with his regular place winnings, his total earnings reached $167,733.

The runner-up, "VbV1990," earned $83,983.

Estonian player Markku "markovitsus" Koplimaa won the $109 5-Card PLO title, securing his fifth WCOOP championship.

He had just won the $530 NLHE Titans earlier this week, and now with another title, he has become one of the multi-title players to watch in the second half of the series.

On the other hand, the PokerStars account "CPUrul0r" won the $1,050 NLHE Fenomeno, earning $22,223.

This victory brings his total number of WCOOP titles to six, and marks his return to the top of the WCOOP since midway through the 2024 series.

Benny Glaser leads $1,050 Thursday Thrill with 34 players remaining.

While several champions were crowned, two other Thursday Thrill events were still underway.

The $109 buy-in version originally had 2,330 entries, but by the time PokerNews published the report, only 63 players remained.

The $1,050 buy-in version had 289 entries, with Benny Glaser taking the scoreboard lead out of the final 34.

The two events are scheduled to be completed on September 25, while the remaining numbered WCOOP events will resume on September 26.

It should be noted that Glaser was only the chip leader with $1,050 Thursday Thrill when he was down to 34 players, and had not yet won the tournament.

Huber's three WCOOP titles and Straver's four WCOOP titles further solidify the team's record for multiple titles.

As the 2026 WCOOP entered its second half, several players successively broke their career championship records.
