The 2026 WCOOP training camp at PokerStars continues to produce champions, progressing towards two main events. The recently concluded $1,050 No-Limit Hold'em Thursday Thrill—a high-stakes progressive bounty tournament—attracted numerous stars to the final table.
Although the WCOOP training camp version of the $1,050 Thursday Thrill only had 64 entries, many experienced grinders participated and eventually made it to the nine-player final table.
One of them is "Fakhish" from Mexico, whom you may recall as the winner of the 2024 Spring Online Poker Championship (SCOOP) $10,300 Main Event. "Fakhish" defeated Mark "AceSpades11" Radoja heads-up in that event to win the $948,434 prize.
Although their prize money at the Thursday Thrill training camp won't be as much, standing out among the star-studded lineup will give them plenty of confidence and a boost in funds to prepare for the 2026 World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) in September.

The talented Mario "t4t0PAGAU" Navarro was the first of the nine finalists to run out of chips. Since Navarro hadn't earned any prize money before his elimination, he finished with a prize of $995.
Finland's "Stonedream" was eliminated in eighth place, followed by Angola's "Oneway1988" and Argentina's "nicolasb".
Fifth place was secured after Rodrigo "peceli" Peceli Presutti was eliminated. Peceli had previously won this event in the 2025 WCOOP for $86,000, but failed to achieve the same result this time.
Pavel "silentm0de" Plesuv from Moldova advanced to fourth place with a second shot, earning $5,720 in prize money (including bounty). British pro Gavin "gavz101" Cochrane was eliminated after Plesuv, taking home $7,253 and pushing the tournament into heads-up play.
"Fakhish" and Bruno "bbernadinho" Bernadinho both secured $7,319 from the regular prize pool, then faced off in a head-to-head battle for the remaining prize money of over $10,000. Just as he did against Radoja in the 2024 SCOOP Main Event, "Fakhish" once again triumphed. They won a total prize of $18,287, with the runner-up receiving a consolation prize of $13,256.
PokerStars 2026 WCOOP Training Camp Tournament Results
To date, 23 WCOOP training camp events have produced champions. Oleg "Fukuruku" Vasylchenko is one of the notable players who recently won a tournament, taking the $55 NLHE PKO Mini Bounty Builder event for a prize of $9,195.
Finnish star Casimir "Ceis25" Seire also won a title, taking the $530 NLHE Six-Handed Bounty Builder Tournament ($7,970); Belarusian star "malabar1719" turned $530 into $12,524 in the $530 NLHE PKO Big Elimination Bounty Builder Tournament.

The 2026 WCOOP Training Camp will run on PokerStars until August 17th, providing you with ample opportunities to become a poker champion.
This weekend's highlight events include two Mystery Sunday Specials, which, as their names suggest, feature a mystery bounty format. Both events kick off on August 9th at 1:00 PM ET (7:00 PM CET). The buy-ins are $11 and $75 respectively, with guaranteed prize pools of $100,000 and $300,000 respectively.
