WSOP Main Event Day 3 Report | 43 Chinese Players Advance to Day 4, Naixuan Shi, Lin Ren, and Peter Wang Lead the Chinese Contingent

The 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) entered its 44th day, with Day 3 of the Main Event becoming the biggest focus of the day.

After a day of intense competition, only 7 players remain to be eliminated from the WSOP Main Event and reach the money bubble. Following Day 3, 1,389 players will be available for Day 4, where they will immediately enter the simultaneous deal phase to compete for a minimum prize of $15,000.

On the Chinese side, a total of 43 players successfully advanced to Day 4. Among them, Naixuan Shi leads the Chinese players with 136 big blinds, Lin Ren ranks second with 117 big blinds, and Peter Wang ranks third with 99 big blinds.

43 Chinese athletes advanced to Day 4

After Day 3 of the WSOP Main Event, the Chinese contingent continued its stable performance, with 43 players successfully advancing to the next round.

In the upcoming Day 4, they will first face the tough test of the main event bubble stage.

The Chinese players with the best scoreboard performance so far are:

• Naixuan Shi: 136BB

• Lin Ren: 117BB

• Peter Wang: 99BB

All three have relatively ample room for maneuver and are expected to continue their push into deeper rounds after the reward pool collapses.

Zhang Yang and Xu Qiang, the two gold bracelet winners, were still present.

It is worth noting that Zhang Yang, the winner of the China Gold Bracelet, and Xu Qiang both advanced to the next round.

Zhang Yang currently holds approximately 68 big blinds, which is still within a relatively healthy score range.

Xu Qiang entered Day 4 with 31 big blinds. Although his score wasn't deep, he still had plenty of room to maneuver.

The survival of the two gold bracelet winners makes the Chinese team's performance in the later stages of the main event still very exciting.

Main Event Global Standings: Sasha Liu Leads the Race

This year's WSOP Main Event attracted 9,208 entries, ranking fourth in history.

The total prize pool is a whopping $85,634,400, with the champion receiving a $10,000,000 prize.

After Day 3, American player Sasha Liu led the field with 2,364,000 chips, equivalent to approximately 295 big blinds.

The top ten scoreboards in the world are as follows:

Sasha Liu quickly accumulated chips after Day 2's delayed registration and reached the top of the chip leaderboard after dinner on Day 3.

Seven former main event champions are still alive.

Regarding past Main Event champions, there are still 7 former champions remaining in the competition.

Among them, 2019 champion Hossein Ensan leads with 1,280,000 chips.

Defending champion Michael Mizrachi also advanced smoothly, holding 615,000 chips and continuing his hopes of defending his title.

However, well-known players such as Phil Hellmuth and Will Kassouf were eliminated on Day 3 and could not continue.

All 13 Chinese players in the deep-stacked tournament made it into the top tier.

Event #86: Day 2 of the $600 deep stack No-Limit Hold'em poker game also concluded today.

The event attracted 8,007 participants, with a total prize pool of US$4,035,528 and a champion's prize of US$400,000.

A total of 13 Chinese players returned to Day 2. Although all of them were eliminated, they all made it into the prize money, with a total prize pool of $30,700.

Jingwei Guo achieved the best result, ranking 75th and winning $5,000.

With 13 participants and 13 making it into the circle, achieving a 100% circle-making rate, the Chinese team achieved another impressive statistic that day.

PLO Mystery Bounty Tournament: Liu Yuhong's outstanding performance

Event #87: Good news also came from Day 1b of the $1,000 PLO mystery bounty tournament.

Yesterday, all nine Chinese players advanced to the next round of Day 1a, with Miao Chenxiang, Gan Jiyang, and Chen Dongji leading in the scoreboard.

Today, Day 1b, seven more Chinese players registered for the competition and all of them advanced.

Among them, Liu Yuhong has performed the best, currently advancing with the first place in the Day 1b scoreboard, and is expected to continue to strive for a higher ranking on Day 2.

Gladiator tournaments and intermediate-level championships will proceed simultaneously.

Event #88: The $300 Gladiator Tournament Day 1a had 1,810 participants.

On the Chinese side, Zhengshan Hao successfully advanced to the next round, ranking 20th on the scoreboard.

Event #89: The $3,000 Mid-Level No-Limit Hold'em Championship Day 1a attracted 497 entries.

Nine Chinese contestants registered, and seven of them successfully advanced.

Gan Jiyang and Zheming Zhu performed exceptionally well, ranking 8th and 9th respectively, both making it into the top ten.

Tomorrow's Outlook

The upcoming Day 4 will be the first major turning point of this year's WSOP Main Event.

The tournament will begin with a simultaneous card dealing phase, and the bubble for the main event will burst once seven more players are eliminated.

43 Chinese athletes will compete for the prize money.

Naixuan Shi, Lin Ren, and Peter Wang hold deep positions and are expected to further expand their advantage after the bubble bursts.

Zhang Yang and Xu Qiang, the two gold bracelet winners, will continue to represent the Chinese team.

Meanwhile, PLO Mystery Bounty Day 2 and the Intermediate No-Limit Hold'em Championship Day 2 will also take place simultaneously, with Chinese players competing on multiple fronts, making this event worth watching closely.
