A poker pro flopped an Ace full house in the WSOP Main Event but lost to quads, missing out on a huge pot.

Davidi Kitai went all-in with an Ace full house in Group D on Day 1 of the 2026 WSOP Main Event, but lost to Michael Leib's quads, suffering a significant chip loss. This is one of the most devastating upsets in the tournament so far.

Davidi Kitai suffered one of the worst cold hands you'll see in the entire tournament during the WSOP Main Event, and he needs to find a way to rebuild his chip stack.

The Belgian poker superstar has nearly $12 million in live tournament winnings at The Hendon Mob. But his chances of increasing that total at this World Series of Poker look less promising.

What a disgusting hand!

According to PokerNews' Maxime Taldir, Kitai was found to have only 1,400 chips shortly after the second break, down from a starting stack of over 60,000 before the break. He found a fantastic opportunity to increase his stack—holding A♠A♣ with a board of A♥5♠5♥2♦J♦.

His opponent, Michael Leib, was doing exactly what he wanted—helping him build a pot. Leib went all-in with about 50,000 chips and got called. For Kitai, a double-up on Day 1, Group D, was just around the corner, right? Wrong. Leib flipped out 5♦5♣ for quads, leaving Kitai with only about five big blinds. Unfortunately for the three-time WSOP bracelet winner, there are no bad beat jackpots in tournament poker.

However, he did accumulate some chips later, reaching 18,000 shortly afterward.

This hand could very well be the most devastating cold hand of the 2026 WSOP Main Event up to the final dinner break of Day 1. However, TV star Aylar Lie, who hit an Ace Full House with AK late in Day 1 C on Saturday, also lost to four of a kind and was eliminated from the Main Event.

Lie held A♥K♦ on a board of A♠Q♣4♠A♦4♥, and called the remaining 38,000 chips on the river. Her opponent, Renan Revinthis, held 4♦4♣ for quads and won the pot.

On Day 1, Group D already had over 4,400 participants registered during the dinner break. Registration will remain open until Monday and Tuesday for the first two levels of the second day's groups. It seems very close to reaching 10,000 participants.
