WSOP poker player in trouble for using sex toy card dispenser. Andrew Martin was asked to remove and warned by staff after using a sex toy as a card dispenser in the WSOP $1,000 Seniors event. He claimed that the rules did not explicitly prohibit this behavior.

A player participating in the WSOP $1,000 Super Seniors event got into trouble for bringing a restricted card dispenser to the table.

Andrew Martin, who competed on the second day of the event, told PokerNews that WSOP staff instructed him to remove the silver card holder because they deemed it inappropriate to use it during the tournament.

According to Martin, staff also issued a warning on his WSOP account, informing him that further use of the item could result in more severe penalties.

The Briton stated that he was unaware of any specific WSOP rule prohibiting the use of anal sex toys as card dispensers, and claimed that he could not find any provision in the tournament rules that clearly justified the ruling.

In a video shot by PokerNews, Martin can be seen balancing the sex toy—which looks the same as the one that recently appeared in the ClubWPT Gold short—on a giant chip pyramid.

What is the WSOP ruling?

Unsurprisingly, the WSOP official tournament rules for the 2026 series do not specifically address the use of dominoes.

Rule 112, which regulates foreign items on the card table, states: "No foreign items may be placed on the card table, and only one card cap (also known as a card holder) may be placed. The diameter of the card cap shall not exceed two (2) inches and the depth shall not exceed half (1/2) inch."

However, tournament officials can invoke Rule 40(d), which states: "All participants have the right to expect courtesy and respect from one another at every table and throughout the WSOP area... Participants who violate this rule will be penalized accordingly."

"All participants have the right to expect courtesy and respect from one another at every table and throughout the WSOP area."

Based on this interpretation, staff may have determined that placing sex toys on the poker table, even as a card dispenser, does not meet the expected standards of courtesy and respect in WSOP events.

Meanwhile, Martin, who lost a card dispenser, still has over 300,000 chips in the NLHE Super Elder event, according to data from the WSOP Live app as of press time, with about 200 players remaining out of a field of 3,323 entries.

The champion will receive a prize of $355,263. You can click the link below to follow the 2026 $1,000 Super Seniors event live through PokerNews.
