The main event attracted 2,844 entries, and according to PokerNews' report that day, the total prize pool reached CA$13,042,800, equivalent to approximately US$9.46 million. The champion will take home CA$1,500,000. Negreanu finished in 99th place and won CA$14,500.

With 2,844 entries, the WSOP Canada Main Event surpassed 10 million Canadian dollars.

This year's WSOP Super Circuit Canada was held at the Playground in Canada, with the CA$5,000 Main Event becoming the biggest highlight of the series.

The tournament originally had a guaranteed prize pool of CA$10,000,000, but the final number of participants (2,844) significantly exceeded the guaranteed prize pool.
