The fun of summer poker in Las Vegas doesn't all come from the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP). Another major series not far down the street—the Wynn Summer Classic—is equally exciting, lasting nearly two months and boasting a total prize pool of $45,271,315.
The series runs from May 20 to July 13 at the luxurious Wynn Las Vegas, featuring over 80 events with buy-ins ranging from $600 to $25,400.
This included the $3,500 No-Limit Hold'em event, which guaranteed a prize of $5 million. Sebastian Toro Henao of Colombia emerged victorious from a field of 1,722 players, winning $908,139, the series' highest prize. But Henao wasn't the only player to take home a six-figure prize at the Wynn Summer Classic.

MateOS continues to demonstrate its dominance
The first champion of the Wynn Summer Classic was Joris Michl from the Netherlands, who won $11,034 in the $600 Mixed Three Draw event. Shortly after, the prize pool increased significantly – Nick Major won the $600 NLH event with a guaranteed prize of $500,000, and the prize money was $102,603.
Following this, Luciano Macchiarelli won the $1,100 NLH event with a guaranteed prize of $1,000, for a prize of $180,715; Joan Crespi Moragues then won another $1,100 event with a guaranteed prize of $1,000, for a prize of $243,739. After that, Mihai Manole won the $1,600 No-Limit Hold'em event with a guaranteed prize of $2,000,000, taking home the title from a field of 1,829 players for a prize of $431,474.
The biggest name to win a six-figure prize was Adrian Mateos, who emerged victorious in the $25,400 High Roller event, which had only 25 participants, winning $267,185. At the WSOP venue on the other side of the Las Vegas Strip, this top Spanish player won the $250,000 Super High Roller event, taking home $4,334,411 and his sixth WSOP gold bracelet, continuing to prove himself as one of the best poker players today.

The Wynn Summer Classic also featured other notable winners. Veteran poker player Kathy Liebert won the $600 Elder NLH event, earning $22,564, marking the female Poker Hall of Famer's fifth tournament victory this year. Just weeks earlier, Liebert also triumphed in the Wynn Signature Series $200 NLH Turbo event, winning $5,175.

Another familiar face was German high-stakes pro Daniel Smiljkovic, who went on a winning streak—first winning the $1,100 NLH event with a guaranteed prize of $1.5 million, for a prize of $311,935, and then winning the $1,100 NLH event with a guaranteed prize of $200,000, for a prize of $47,719. Another German high-stakes pro, Samuel Ju, also won the $1,100 NLH fast event, for a prize of $39,507.
