Vamos! Brazilian player dominates 2026 WCOOP Boot Camp Main Event

Brazilian players shone at the 2026 WCOOP Boot Camp Main Event, sweeping the top five positions in the $109 Main Event, with Gabriel Medeiros winning the $1,050 Main Event. Full tournament results and prize money overview.

The 2026 WCOOP Boot Camp concluded successfully on August 17th at PokerStars, with the $109 and $1,050 Main Event champions officially crowned. As is common recently, Brazilian players excelled on the biggest stage.

Four of the nine finalists in the $109 Main Event were from Brazil, as were four Brazilian players in the $1,050 Main Event finalist table, including the champion.

Gabriel Medeiros wins the $1.050 WCOOP Boot Camp Main Event.

The $1,050 WCOOP Boot Camp Main Event attracted 288 entries on the PokerStars virtual tables, with only 21 players advancing to Day 2. These 21 players returned on August 17 to compete for the largest share of the $300,000 total prize pool.

After the eliminations of "Rankawe.bsp", Pedro "gusmaa" Madeira and "kurtWSOP", only six players remain to compete for the championship title, each of whom has secured more than $13,000 in prize money.

Bolivia's "Papaya006" was eliminated in sixth place, followed by "CatfishBilly" and Lithuanian star Gediminas "Gedis92" Uselis.

The three-way battle ended after "kylix24" (one of the remaining two Brazilian players) was eliminated. This led to a heads-up match between Gabriel "Gremio CEM" Medeiros and Estonia's "NeedBeat". Since there was no prize money split, Medeiros won $48,839 after defeating his final opponent, while the runner-up received a consolation prize of $37,493.

$1,050 WCOOP Boot Camp Main Event Final Table Results

Brazilian players swept the top five positions in the WCOOP Boot Camp Main Event (1 TP 4 T 109).

The $109 WCOOP Boot Camp Main Event attracted 5,345 entries, creating a total prize pool of $534,500, far exceeding the $500,000 guarantee.

A total of 132 players advanced on Day 1, including PokerStars ambassador Marle "MarlzTV" Spragg, who returned to the competition in 33rd place. Unfortunately, Spragg ultimately finished in 56th place, earning $604 in prize money.

The sheer size of the competition meant that all players who made it to the nine-player final table earned at least $4,471, roughly 41 times their initial investment.

"Brenowwm.", "Sa1amanka", "I FOUND GOD", and "cultivaty" were eliminated, leaving only five players to compete for the $76,019 prize. The Brazilian flag was displayed next to each of the five players' names.

Jefferson "Jeffin_DF" Medeiros finished fifth with $18,436, followed by "tairones13" who was also eliminated, with $26,271 deposited into his PokerStars account.

With only three contestants remaining, discussions on the prize distribution began, and the three reached a consensus on the numbers.

"sKc.94" finished third with $49,632, significantly higher than the originally announced $37,435. This led to a one-on-one duel between Guilherme "fr4wtz" Padilha and "griura". "griura" won the duel, earning $62,760, while Padilha earned $54,407.
