$80,000 Mystery Bounty Main Event Final Table Results
Ukrainian player "tarakan915" started the final table with the shortest chip stack and was the first to be eliminated. He 3-bet all-in from the small blind with A-10 diamonds, while "Magnolia176" raised four times the big blind from the button with KQ. "Magnolia176" called, made a straight on the turn, and improved to an even better straight on the river, eliminating "tarakan915".
About 20 minutes later, KQ eliminated another player. "Billy_Slater" opened from the small blind and then called 888poker regular "ZaCafu's" 22.5 big blind all-in, which ZaCafu called with pocket tens. The flop of Q eliminated "ZaCafu" in seventh place, while "Billy_Slater" extended his chip lead to nearly 100 big blinds.
Another hour passed without any eliminations; then "Zeaberration" was eliminated, breaking the deadlock. "Guuadania" opened from the button with pocket threes, and "Zeaberration" 3-bet all-in from the big blind with K-10 of diamonds (less than 12 big blinds), which the initial raiser called. "Guuadania" miraculously made a six-high straight on the river, eliminating "Zeaberration".
It took 90 minutes to eliminate the top three players, but the subsequent eliminations took less than 45 minutes to conclude the latest 888poker $80,000 Mystery Bounty Main Event.
BrownBrit from the UK was eliminated in fifth place after Zeaberration. Magnolia176 called from the small blind with pocket sixes and then called BrownBrit's all-in from the big blind for 13.5 big blinds. The player at risk showed Q-10 of diamonds, got plenty of options on the flop and even more on the turn, but ultimately missed on the river.
With the pool shrinking from four to three, "Billy_Slater," who had once been the chip leader, was eliminated in his match against "Magnolia176." "Magnolia176" min-raised from the small blind with J-7, and then called when "Billy_Slater" went all-in from the big blind with AK for 19.5 big blinds. The flop of a 7 was enough to eliminate "Billy_Slater."
After "Guuadania" was eliminated, the tournament entered heads-up play. "Magnolia176" opened all-in from the small blind with KJ, and "Guuadania" called with A-3 for 19 big blinds. A J-high board ended "Guuadania's" game.
The heads-up match seems to be just a formality, as "Magnolia176" has a massive 123.2 big blinds, while "Fedevalle" only has 21.5 big blinds.
"Fedevalle" doubled up with A against AQ of diamonds. A few hands later, he got pocket kings but only won the blinds. The Argentinian player took the lead when he flopped J-6 to make a flush of diamonds, while "Magnolia176" made the same flush with 10-3.
After more dramatic exchanges and several changes of chip lead, "Magnolia176" opened all-in for 27 big blinds with K-7 clubs, and "Fedevalle" called with KJ. "Fedevalle" hit a J on the flop, enough to secure his victory in the Mystery Bounty Main Event.
