Daniel Negreanu is set to make his highly anticipated debut at Hustler Casino Live.

Daniel Negreanu will make his Hustler Casino Live debut on August 28th, participating in $100/$200 cash games. The eight-time WSOP bracelet winner will compete against regulars like Nik Airball.

Daniel Negreanu will make his Hustler Casino Live debut on Friday, August 28, joining the popular poker livestream for a $100/$200 cash game.

HCL officially announced on the X platform that the eight-time WSOP bracelet winner will be joining next Friday's lineup, writing: "That's right—poker legend and GGPoker ambassador Daniel Negreanu is finally coming to HCL."

The announcement was accompanied by an AI-generated video in which HCL regulars sang a soulful funk tune in celebration of the Canadian superstar’s “Big D Energy Descends on HCL”.

The "Poker Prodigy" shared the video on his own X account, writing, "This video is so ridiculous I had to share it."

While the full lineup has not yet been announced, HCL has confirmed that the game will be played with $100/$200 bets, with a minimum buy-in of $50,000. The remaining players will be revealed later.

Negreanu's recent rare cash game attack

Although Negreanu was once one of the most recognizable and popular regulars on High Stakes Poker, he hasn't been involved in cash games for a long time.

Today, Negreanu is primarily a tournament player, rarely leaving Las Vegas to participate in events outside of the WSOP and PGT circuits. The only exception is his annual trip to the Bahamas for the WSOP Paradise poker extravaganza during Christmas.

However, thanks to Negreanu's signing with GGPoker as its most well-known brand ambassador, and GGPoker being a co-owner of Hustler Casino Live, the Los Angeles-based live show successfully drew the eight-time gold bracelet winner back to televised cash games.

If HCL regular Nik Airball also gets involved, an interesting potential storyline will emerge—this self-proclaimed "King of Los Angeles" claimed before his match against Kristen Foxen on a February show: "Tournament players are terrible, this is the easiest money I've ever seen."

Ultimately, Foxen emerged victorious, winning $17,100, while Airball suffered a loss in the $399,900 game. Now, Airball may have another chance to prove his theory against one of the most successful tournament players in poker history.

Everything was normal in September.

Whether Negreanu's return to cash games will reignite his passion for the format he used to frequently participate in remains to be seen, but everything will return to normal in September—he plans to stream the final ten days of the ongoing World Series of Poker 2026 online on GGPoker.

The series will run from August 16 to September 29, with the main event guaranteeing $25 million in prize money and 33 gold bracelets up for grabs.

Negreanu has already given fans a sneak peek at his schedule, revealing that he will start his stream with a $10,000 PLO tournament, and added on X: "PLO is my favorite."
