Erik Seidel made it to the final table of the WSOP $3,000 PLO event, aiming to win his 11th gold bracelet and become the third player in history to have more than ten gold bracelets.

Only five players stood between Poker Hall of Famer Erik Seidel and his 11th World Series of Poker (WSOP) gold bracelet.

This poker legend made it to the final table of Event #96:$3,000 Six-Max Pot-Limit Omaha, one of the final events in the series, as the number of events in Las Vegas has significantly decreased.

Poker Hall of Famer Chasing His 11th Gold Bracelet

Seidel was midway through the seven-player informal final table, but he quickly built up his chip stack from there.

According to a report by Frank Visser of PokerNews, Seidel went all-in against Wang on the flop in a seven-handed game and soon won another big pot from the chip leader – Wang folded his combo draw.

The official final table was formed after Krasimir Yankov was eliminated, suffering a brutal bad beat – his Kings set on the flop was defeated by Wang's Aces set on the river.

Seidel boasts nearly $49 million in live cashes and has had several deep runs this summer, none of which have truly translated into a final table appearance. He finished ninth in the $25,000 Six-Max High Roller in June for $118,753 and most recently, 11th in the $50,000 Eight-Max High Roller for $146,295.

But Seidel now finds himself at the first final table of the 2026 WSOP, seated alongside five-time bracelet winner Robert Mizrachi, three-time bracelet winner Christopher Vitch, and chip leader Joshua Wang.

If Seidel wins, he will become only the third person in history to win more than ten gold bracelets, joining Phil Hellmuth (17) and Phil Ivey (11).

Currently, three players hold ten gold bracelets: Seidel, Johnny Chan, and the late Doyle Brunson. But that number will almost certainly grow after this summer—Benny Glaser, Shaun Deeb, and defending champion Michael Mizrachi have all won their ninth gold bracelets.

Seidel won his tenth gold bracelet at the 2023 WSOP Paradise when he took the $50,000 Super High Roller event, winning $1,704,400.

This $3,000 PLO tournament attracted 892 entries, with a total prize pool of $2.3 million. The tournament is scheduled to continue until a champion is crowned, who will receive $407,137. All remaining players are guaranteed at least $65,840 in prize money.
