Dalton Hobold and Dennis Berglin won the PokerStars WCOOP Boot Camp event. Two Main Events will take place on August 16th, with a guaranteed total prize pool of $800,000.
Swedish player Dennis “DBerglin” Berglin and Brazilian player Dalton “daltonhb” Hobold are the standout winners in the latest wave of PokerStars WCOOP Boot Camp events.
Every player wants to enter the World Series of Online Poker (WCOOP) in top form, and the best way to do that is to win a WCOOP Boot Camp tournament.
Dalton “daltonhb” Hobold boasts four SCOOP titles and one WCOOP title in his career, four of which came from progressive bounty events. The Brazilian once again demonstrated his expertise in PKO events by emerging victorious from a field of 143 players in the latest $530 NLHE Bounty Builder High Roller event.
Hobold faced off against top players at the final table, including Claas “SsicK_OnE” Segebrecht, Daniel “DaniC19941893” Custodio, and Austria’s “tekelson221”, before going head-to-head with “Deal with It”.
He successfully met the challenge, sending his Finnish opponent to second place and earning himself a champion's prize of $14,256.
This victory will boost Hobold's finances and confidence, preparing him for the upcoming WCOOP, but before that, there's the formidable challenge of the WCOOP Boot Camp Main Event.

Berglin's victory came in the $75 No-Limit Hold'em Mystery Sunday Special, which attracted 5,056 entries and created a total prize pool of $344,718, exceeding the guaranteed amount. Berglin had just reached the final table twice at the WSOP Circuit in Estonia, ultimately facing "Honey Dick" from Brazil in heads-up play.
After the two singles players reached an agreement, Berglin successfully completed his task, eliminating his final opponent. Although the Swedish player will forever be credited as the champion of this tournament, he earned $19,016 due to the aforementioned agreement, while the runner-up earned $22,657.

Berglin is poised to win his first WCOOP title next month, adding to his 2017 SCOOP Spring Online Poker Championship title.
