PokerStars billionaire co-founder puts luxury yacht up for sale for $152.5 million. PPokerStars co-founder Mark Scheinberg sold his 70-meter luxury superyacht, Synthesis, for $152.5 million. The billionaire shifted his focus to hotel and real estate investments after selling PokerStars for $4.9 billion in 2014.

PokerStars co-founder Mark Scheinberg is selling a top-of-the-line luxury yacht that you may never have seen before.

This Israeli-Canadian billionaire investor, who is also the son of Isai Scheinberg, a perennial Poker Hall of Fame candidate, owns an award-winning Dutch-made superyacht named Synthesis, worth nine figures.

According to autoevolution, the yacht is for sale, and Scheinberg—who co-founded PokerStars with his father in 2001—is asking for a buyer for $152.5 million.

The price is higher than a luxury mansion

The Synthesis, measuring 70 meters in length, boasts six cabins and enough space to accommodate an entire football team. Scheinberg's superyacht is practically a floating resort, featuring stunning décor, a state-of-the-art fitness area, a full-fledged kitchenette, and bedrooms comparable to those in a luxury beachfront resort. The yacht was built by the Dutch shipbuilding company Amels, whose history dates back to 1918.

Mark Scheinberg, now 53, co-founded PokerStars with his father in his twenties. PokerStars was one of the early online poker websites, and the Scheinberg family built it into an industry giant.

Under the leadership of the Scheinberg family, PokerStars grew into the world's largest online poker website in the 2000s and remains an industry benchmark. The Scheinberg family sold the company to Amaya Gaming in 2014 for $4.9 billion.

"I am incredibly proud of what Isai and I have built together over the past 14 years, creating the world's largest poker company and a leader in iGaming. Our achievements and this transaction are a testament to the hard work, expertise, and dedication of our employees, whom I believe will continue to drive the company's success," Mark Scheinberg said at the sale.

After leaving PokerStars, Mark Scheinberg founded Mohari Hospitality, an investment firm focused on the luxury hospitality industry. His company acquired a majority stake in Tao Group Hospitality in 2023, a restaurant and nightlife group with nightclubs in major resorts and tourist hotspots such as the Venetian in Las Vegas.

The young Scheinberg is also a real estate investor and currently resides in the Isle of Man, where he is the island's wealthiest person with a net worth exceeding $5 billion. His father, Isai, was a computer programmer who not only founded PokerStars but also spearheaded the booming development of poker in the 2000s.

Daniel Negreanu, a PokerStars ambassador during the Scheinberg era, was a long-time advocate for Isai's induction into the Poker Hall of Fame. However, while Scheinberg was one of the eight finalists for 2026, he was ultimately not inducted. Current PokerStars ambassador Jason Koon is the only inductee.
