Cardplayer Lifestyle Mixed Games Festival XV returns to Bellagio, with BetMGM Poker giving away three $1,100 Bellagio Fall Classic Main Event seats. The festival offers low-stakes mixed games starting from $4/$8 and runs from October 5-9.
Cardplayer Lifestyle Mixed Games Festival returns to Bellagio this week, and thanks to BetMGM Poker, three players will turn their time at the mixed games table into an opportunity to win bigger prizes.
The Mixed Gaming Festival XV kicked off on Monday, October 5th, with a five-day low-stakes mixed gaming event in Las Vegas. The festival runs until October 9th, offering cash games with house picks starting at noon each day, with bets starting only at $4/$8 and $6/$12.
This year also marks five years since festival founder Robbie Strazynski first tested the concept. At the time, even he wasn't sure there would be a second edition.
"It was an experiment at the time. I thought to myself, 'I think this will be a success, and it will be really cool.' I didn't even know if there would be a second one."

Five years later, the festival has reached its 15th year, revolving around a largely unchanged idea: to make hybrid games affordable, social, and accessible, especially for players who might otherwise never have tried No-Limit Texas Hold'em.
This week, BetMGM Poker gave players another reason to pull up a chair and sit down.

BetMGM Poker is offering three $1,100 Bellagio Fall Classic Main Event slots, with a guaranteed prize pool of $100,000.
One seat will be awarded on opening day, Monday, another on Tuesday, and the final ticket on Wednesday. These prizes are awarded randomly, so players don't need to win a tournament or accumulate a huge cash game stack to qualify. They simply need to be present at the draw.

For Strazynski, this is the latest chapter in their partnership with BetMGM Poker, which has now lasted for more than three years.
“They’re our tournament sponsor every time we come to Bellagio,” Strazynski told PokerNews. “They have their annual $3,500 BetMGM tournament during the summer, so they gave us a spot.”
"Now, working directly with Bellagio on their Fall Classic series, they said, 'Great, let's send some people into the main event.'"
"They are fantastic, and I am simply grateful for their continued support. I've been working with them for over three years. It's wonderful."
This support has helped casual mixed-game players gain tournament entry opportunities with stakes far exceeding what they would have played during the festival. This time, three people who might spend a week playing $4/$8 mixed games will leave with a four-figure Bellagio tournament seat.

The first ticket found a home. David Hanrock from Youngstown, Ohio, had attended about 10 or 11 Mixed Games Festivals but had never won one of its main draw prizes until Monday.

"This might be the first time I've won anything," Hanrock said after receiving $1,100 seats.
However, there is a problem. The Bellagio Fall Classic Main Event is No-Limit Texas Hold'em, a game that Hanrock has essentially abandoned.
"The last time I played Texas Hold'em was probably more than a decade ago," he said. "I've completely broken away from Texas Hold'em, so this will be a completely new experience, a direct jump into the fire."
Players still have two more chances to follow him into the tournament, with the remaining BetMGM Poker seats being awarded on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Winners can choose which of the four preliminary rounds of the Bellagio Fall Classic to participate in. Day A begins on Thursday, October 8th, Day B is held on Friday, and the other two preliminary rounds are scheduled for Saturday, October 10th.
Mixed Game Festival XV Adds Tournament

The festival's recent Bellagio sites have all taken place during the busy Las Vegas summer, when players already have an abundance of tournaments to play. With the Mixed Games Festival XV taking place for the first time in the fall, Strazynski is able to add tournaments to its usual cash games.
The $300 TORSE will be held on Tuesday, October 6th, followed by the $300 Triple Draw Mixed Tournament on Wednesday, October 7th. Both tournaments will begin at noon, coinciding with the festive cash games.
Poker was just one part of the event. Monday kicked off with a festive pizza party, and Jonathan Little also sat down to "test his skills" with the players.
Celebrity appearances, product giveaways, book signings, snacks, and other extras have become standard features of the festival over the past five years.
Why is the Mixed Games Festival suitable for beginners?
For anyone curious about hybrid games but hesitant to jump into an unfamiliar format, Strazynski believes that ease of participation is precisely what keeps people coming back.
"People don't come here to pay rent. People come here to enjoy themselves," he said.

Strazynski stated that the festival attracts not only regulars from Las Vegas, but also players from all over the United States and as far away as Wales, Japan, Israel, Malta, and Canada.
"This is the cheapest place to learn. You play $4/$8 limit bets. You can play almost all day with the same $100 to $200."
"Even if you lose a little, you'll leave feeling, 'Wow, I got a great experience that you won't find anywhere else, and hopefully you'll learn something along the way.'"
This combination helped transform the experiment that began in 2021 into the 15th annual festival.
"If your goal is to learn and improve, this is the best starting point," Strazynski added. "Then you can climb the ladder to the next level of the game and play for higher stakes."
