2025 WSOP Main Event champion Michael Mizrachi built a huge chip lead on Day 3 of the $10,000 PLO Championship, aiming to win his ninth gold bracelet.
The current world poker champion has once again made it to the final table of the World Series of Poker.
Michael Mizrachi established an overwhelming chip lead in the deep stages of Day 3 of the #73:$10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship, with only nine players remaining. The 2025 Main Event champion firmly controls the game.
Although the tournament is still ongoing and the champion will not be decided until Monday's final, it will take a huge comeback to dethrone "The Grinder" from the top of the chip count.
The event attracted 836 entries, and the Poker Hall of Famer maintained the lead in almost every stage. He packed the largest chip stack on Day 1 and did it again on Day 2—turning 946,000 into 5,655,000, finishing the night with a 78-big-blind lead over his closest challenger.
This momentum continued into the third day. Mizrachi spent most of the day at the top of the leaderboard, currently holding nearly 20% of chips with 9,500,000 chips.
If Mizrachi wins again on Monday, he will tie Benny Glaser for the second player this summer to achieve nine WSOP bracelets. The $1,350,203 first-place prize will also push his live tournament winnings to over $30 million, placing him in the top 20 of The Hendon Mob's lifetime money list, surpassing Brian Rast and Chris Brewer.
Mizrachi has secured the $102,599 prize (making it to the final nine) and secured his biggest prize since winning the Main Event.
Mizrachi turns a loss into a profit

PokerNews located Mizrachi as he continued his pursuit of another gold bracelet.
"I'm excited," Mizrachi said. "It looks good. My goal now is to break into the top five."
This in-depth tour helped salvage what Mizrachi called a relatively lackluster summer by his standards, especially compared to last year's memorable WSOP journey.
"I'm probably close to breaking even now," he said. "We'll see what happens, but if I can climb a few more places, it looks like I'll be profitable by the end of the series."
"This is my seventh prize money record. I think I'm happy with where I am now because I've played very deep in $10K PLO, but I wasn't so happy before $10K PLO."
Mizrachi also admitted that trying to replicate his achievements in 2025 is unrealistic.
"You can't have the same expectations as last year, because it was unprecedented. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."
"It's unlikely that anyone will see something like this again unless Benny Glaser decides to win the Main Event this year."
With the WSOP Main Event starting next week, Mizrachi will soon have the opportunity to defend his world championship title. But for now, his focus remains on adding another gold bracelet to his collection.
“I’m excited about this, but right now I’m thinking about the tournament,” Mizrachi said. “Then we’ll worry about that next week. We’ll take it one day at a time.”
"So let's finish this one first, and then worry about the main event."
$10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Final Table Chip Count
Joining Mizrachi at the final table were 2023 WSOP Player of the Year Ian Matakis and high-stakes champion Jesse Lonis. Two-time WSOP bracelet winner Martin Zamani was second in chips, 25 big blinds behind Mizrachi.
