PokerNews PowerStack Leaderboard Returns for RGPS Fall Season

The PokerNews PowerStack leaderboard returns for the RGPS Fall season, with the top ten players earning a trip to Thunder Valley and a spot in the $300 Dream Seat Invitational. The first event of the fall season will be held in Dallas, Texas.

The PokerNews PowerStack leaderboard will officially return in the 2026 RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) fall season, giving another group of players the opportunity to translate their table results into a trip to the Thunder Valley Casino Resort.

After its debut earlier this year, this season-long competition returns with even greater rewards. The top ten players on the PokerNews PowerStack leaderboard will each receive a Thunder Valley package and a spot in the exclusive $300 Dream Seat Invitational.

The invitational tournament will be held during the RunGood Dream Factory music festival from November 27 to December 3, with the winner earning a spot in the PGT tournament at PokerGO Studio in January 2027.

This provides PowerStack players with a path from the RGPS Circuit's $400 tournament all the way to competing against the world's top poker players.

The top ten will travel to Thunder Valley

Throughout the fall season, every qualifying PokerNews PowerStack performance will earn leaderboard points, which players can accumulate across multiple RGPS sites.

After the final scores are tallied, the top ten finishers will each receive a package tour containing the following:

• $300 Dream Seat Invitational Tournament Qualification

• $300 Travel Allowance

• Two-night stay at Thunder Valley Casino Resort

The Dream Seat Invitational will bring together RunGood champions and qualifiers, with the winner representing RunGood in the PGT Championship.

The full PokerNews PowerStack Fall schedule, leaderboard points system, and latest rankings will be released gradually throughout the season.

PowerStack sends 11 contestants to Thunder Valley in its first quarter.

In the inaugural PokerNews PowerStack Leaderboard competition, 11 players won seats in the RGPS Passport Season Finals $1,200 Million Main Event held in Thunder Valley in July.

Nicholas Rigby topped the inaugural PokerNews leaderboard, but Paul Schreiner and Sean Hold successfully converted their free Main Event entry into winnings, each earning $5,400.

The tournament was ultimately won by Thunder Valley regular and poker legend JC Tran.

Tran emerged victorious from a field of 1,086 entries, defending his home turf to win the RGPS Passport Season Finals Main Event for the first time in his illustrious career. The massive number of entrants created a total prize pool of $1,140,300, with Tran taking home the $163,700 first-place prize.

PowerStack's first stop this fall: Dallas

Players won't have to wait long to start accumulating points in the new season, with the first PokerNews PowerStack event of the fall taking place at the RGPS Golden Expedition event held at Palace Poker in Dallas, Texas.

The 11-day music festival will be held from August 13 to 23 and will include 16 ring events.

The $300 PokerNews PowerStack Mystery Bounty Tournament will kick off on August 13th, with a guaranteed prize pool of $100,000. Players advancing from the six starting groups will return on August 16th at 10:00 AM to compete for the championship.

The festival will conclude with the $600 RGPS Golden Expedition Main Event, guaranteeing a prize pool of $200,000. Seven starting groups will run from August 20th to 22nd, with the qualifying players returning for the finals on August 23rd.
