The Chip Race Podcast reaches its 200th episode milestone, and PokerStars hosts a special bounty tournament to celebrate.

To celebrate The Chip Race Podcast's 200th episode, PokerStars is hosting a special $11 bounty tournament with a guaranteed prize pool of $20,000. Eliminating the host will earn you a $109 Sunday Million 20th Anniversary ticket.

The Chip Race Special Bounty Builders Tournament, $11, is open to all PokerStars users and will be held on Sunday, July 26 at 4:30 p.m. PET (11:30 a.m. ET), with a guaranteed prize pool of $20,000.

Players who eliminate The Chip Race hosts or PokerStars ambassadors will receive a bounty and a $109 Sunday Million Anniversary Ticket, along with the honor of defeating hosts David Lappin, Dara O'Kearney, as well as Barry Carter, Seb Huber, Marle Spragg, and Benjamin "Spraggy" Spragg.

This special event offers players another chance to qualify for the PokerStars Sunday Millions 20th Anniversary Edition, celebrating the birthday of this legendary online poker tournament. This double-anniversary edition boasts a $5 million guaranteed prize pool and is played in stages, with players competing in daily heats before culminating in the grand finale on September 6th.

Hosted by PokerStars ambassador Lappin and newly appointed PaddyPower Poker pro O'Kearney, The Chip Race podcast has become one of the most recognizable podcasts in the poker world, combining player interviews, strategy discussions, and debates on major events in the game.

This milestone comes shortly after the release of the season 28 finale, which featured a star-studded lineup including poker legend and PokerStars ambassador Jason Koon, EPT tournament director Toby Stone, and PokerNews podcast host Mike Holtz. Holtz, who recently won his second WSOP bracelet, joined the show to discuss his career and memorable summers at the World Series of Poker.

Looking back on the journey to 200 episodes, co-host Lappin said that the show's initial ambitions were much smaller than they are now.

“We initially had two goals: to attract thousands of Irish players by covering local tournaments, and to secure sponsorship from PaddyPower Poker,” Lappin told the PokerStars blog. “We achieved the first goal within seven episodes, but it took us over 190 episodes to lock in the latter.”

Since then, the podcast has built a following of over 25,000 listeners in 76 countries, with Lappin attributing most of the growth to word-of-mouth rather than paid promotion.

In its 200 episodes, the show has featured many big names in the poker world, including interviews with Phil Hellmuth, Mike Sexton, and Koon, as well as regulars like Maria Konnikova, Jen Shahade, and Kat Arnsby.

Other poker stars who appeared on the show included Shaun Deeb, Ike Haxton, Nick Schulman, Scott Seiver, Vicky Coren, and many other influential figures in the game.

When asked which episodes he would recommend to listeners new to the podcast, Lappin pointed to conversations with Jennifer Tilly, Doug Polk, and Stephen Chidwick as highlights of the show's history.
