888poker has released a six-part documentary about the WSOP Main Event, featuring five ambassadors who have crossed the Atlantic to compete in the 2026 WSOP. The first part, "The Pilgrimage," is now available on YouTube.
Flying to Las Vegas, buying into the $10,000 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event, and returning triumphant with the $10,000,000 jackpot and the World Series of Poker title is every poker player's dream. At the recent 2026 WSOP, five 888poker ambassadors followed in their footsteps. A photography team documented the entire journey of these five players from crossing the Atlantic to conquer poker's most prestigious live tournament.
The film crew produced a six-part documentary focusing on the journeys of Aaron Barone, Ian Simpson, Lucia Navarro, Nick Eastwood, and Vivian Saliba, all with their sights set on winning the 2026 WSOP Main Event title.
The first part – "Pilgrimage" – is now available on the 888poker YouTube channel. Here's a recap of the highlights.
As the title "Pilgrimage" suggests, the first episode of 888 at the WSOP focuses on the team's long journey across the Atlantic to what is nicknamed "Sin City".

Spanish star Navarro revealed that the 2026 WSOP will mark her tenth year traveling to Las Vegas every summer. When Navarro first participated in the WSOP in 2016, she promised herself that if she had a successful cash game, she would enter the Main Event. She did, and is now a veteran player with ten years of WSOP Main Event experience.

Saliba was already in Las Vegas a week before her teammates arrived. The Brazilian player seemed confident about making a deep run in the main event, simply because she was in a good mental state.
"I don't even have a schedule this year. Every day I wake up, I look at how I feel, what matches I want to play, and then I just take it one day at a time. This is very different from previous years."

"I've been to many WSOP final tables. I've played for a lot of money. So, when the time comes, based on experience alone, I think I'll be better prepared than in previous years. I'm excited, but not overly excited. I like my current mindset. It hasn't always been like this, but now it's a good state."
Barone, the 888poker ambassador who went the furthest in last year's Main Event, revealed that although he will only be competing for the first time in 2023, he can't imagine what it would be like not to play in the Main Event.
"I never thought playing in the Main Event was really important to me; it's not something I'd regret not doing. I just felt it wasn't right for me. Now it's my fourth year participating, and I can't imagine not playing it."
When the camera turned to him, popular pro player Simpson was as happy as ever. Simpson values family very much, and he revealed that during his long WSOP journey, he has become better at handling the feelings of being separated from his wife and daughter.
"I've been playing very well in poker for the past 18 months. That has been very helpful in building confidence for the World Series, because you can lose a lot of money like this here. The homesickness hasn't really hit me yet. I will miss home. I think I wasn't very good at handling this situation two or three years ago. Being away from my daughter was very difficult for me, and I know I did it for her."

Please be sure to watch the first episode of 888 at the WSOP to enjoy this full 10-minute video. 888poker plans to release a new episode every Saturday at 6:00 PM GMT.
