Hamid Izadi wins his first MSPT title! The 10-time WSOP Circuit gold ring winner beat a field of 1,299 players at the Potawatomi Casino in Milwaukee to take home $219,654, marking a new milestone.

Last weekend, the 17th Major Series of Poker: The Tour (MSPT) was held at the Potawatomi Casino in Milwaukee. The Main Event, number 1,110, attracted 1,299 players. This resulted in a guaranteed prize pool exceeding $1 million, ultimately creating...The total prize pool is 1,258,530.

Of these, 145 players had already secured prize money when they entered the second day of the event on Sunday. After a full day of intense competition, renowned poker pro Hamid Izadi emerged victorious, winning the tournament and taking home the $219,654 first-place prize. He had an outstanding run to the title, eliminating 9 of the final 14 opponents.

"It feels amazing," Izadi told MSPT reporter Anthony Thompson after his victory. "My friend Josh [Reichard] told me I needed to start playing more of these tournaments, but I couldn't fit them into my schedule before. So, this year I made a schedule that allows me to play most of the MSPT Main Events, and this is only the second one I've played, so I'm very happy with the decision I made."

Hamid Izadi said after winning the MSPT Potawatomi: "This is the second MSPT Main Event I've organized this year, and I'm very happy to have made this decision."

This main event is just one of 11 "Gold Card Tournaments".
