In 2026, WSOP players will be able to rate the dealers; what do you think? In 2026, the WSOP will launch a dealer rating system, allowing players to rate dealers (1-5 stars) through the WSOP Live app. High-rated dealers will receive prize money and more opportunities to deal in major tournaments, sparking heated discussions on social media.

At the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP), there will be several incentives to encourage dealers to perform well, one of which is financial rewards.

Another incentive is the avoidance of rigorous scrutiny, as the WSOP has implemented a dealer rating system that allows players to rate dealers this summer. Following a video posted by WSOP's Jeff Platt, poker fans have been enthusiastically discussing this new policy on social media.

Rate the dealer?

Every summer, the WSOP hires hundreds of dealers from around the world to work in Las Vegas for nearly two months. They play an indispensable role in the operation of the WSOP. However, many poker players have complained about the quality of some dealers, especially inexperienced ones.

The upcoming series (which will kick off on May 26 at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas on the Las Vegas Strip) has made a change. Players can rate dealers through the WSOP Live app, the same app they use to receive seating assignments and register for tournaments.

As Platt explained in his 50-second X video, by calling out the "Rate Your Dealer" feature, players can rate their dealers on a scale of one to five. Dealers accumulate ratings throughout the summer, similar to Uber drivers. Dealers with high ratings will receive bonuses.

"What we really want to do is elevate the status of our top dealers, perhaps by rewarding them with prize money so they can deal on the grand stage of the WSOP. We need top dealers. And you will help us do that," Platt said.

Dealers who receive high ratings will have more opportunities to deal in major events such as the WSOP Main Event, and may even find it easier to secure long-term employment.

The purpose of this dealer rating system is to incentivize dealer improvement and growth. Some poker fans on social media like the idea, while others have expressed concerns. Shaun Deeb raised a question about this new feature at the WSOP.

Jeremy Ausmus, a six-time WSOP bracelet winner, is one of many who like this idea. He posted on X: "This is a solution to one of the long-standing problems of the WSOP, and it's a great start."

The dealer's ratings are not made public and are for internal use only. Platt also reminds players not to give negative ratings because the dealer dealt a "bad beat" that caused them to lose.
